On January 11, the FCC announced the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) was expected to wind down and that households enrolled in the ACP would continue to receive the benefit through April 2024. The Commission started taking steps to end the program and the program has now concluded.
We understand that this program has been crucial for many of our customers in accessing essential online resources and staying connected and regret that funds are running out. Below are key details you should be aware of:
All households that enrolled in the ACP before February 7, 2024 at 11:59 PM ET continued to receive their ACP benefit through April 2024 as long as the household remained enrolled and eligible for the benefit.
Enrollment concluced on February 7, 2024, at 11:59PM ET.
Now that the program has concluded, the discount customers received through the program will no longer be applicable.
For customers in Maryland, the MEBB discount ended on February 29 and the $15 discount was removed thereafter.
We recognize the impact this may have on your budget. Some households may qualify for the FCC’s Lifeline program for low-income consumers, and you are encouraged to explore this option. You can find more information at lifelinesupport.org.
As a customer eligible for the ACP discount, you are allowed to cancel or change your service without penalty one time at the conclusion of the program. If you wish to cancel, please send your cancellation request and the date you’d like to cancel to [email protected]. If you want to change your service, please call us at 240-449-3360 and ask to speak to Sam Lauver, our ACP specialist, or email [email protected].
We want to express our sincere gratitude for your understanding during this time of transition. We remain committed to providing our customers with the best possible service, and we will continue to explore ways to support your connectivity needs. We will contact those enrolled in the program through NeuBeam again if further program updates are announced.
